Connect Your Clients with Double Up Food Bucks!

Fair Food Network’s Double Up Food Bucks program doubles the value of SNAP dollars spent on fresh fruits and vegetables. For every SNAP dollar spent on fresh produce, shoppers receive another dollar – up to $20 per day – to buy more fruits and vegetables, helping families bring home more healthy food while also supporting Michigan farmers. Double Up is now available at farmers markets, farm stands, and grocery stores across the state. For more information on current locations and dates of operation, visit the Locations page at http://www.doubleupfoodbucks.org/ or call the toll-free hotline at 866.586.2796.

You can download program flyers and posters or order copies at no cost to distribute to your networks. Check out our Get Involved page to learn more. Fair Food Network is also seeking volunteers and interns to help spread the word. Click here for more information.

Extra SNAP dollars can go a long way, so help your clients bring home more fresh fruits and vegetables with Double Up!

Opportunity to Promote Utility Assistance Options in Your Area

Consumers Energy recognizes that your organization may assist its customers receiving a variety of safety net programs. To complement this work, the company would like to begin dialogue on best approaches (such as the online MBA partner search tool) to guide customers to the MBA network for utility bill assistance, as well as future partnership opportunities. If your organization is interested in joining an exploratory conversation on these topics, a June summit has been scheduled for June 20th in Lansing, MI. Please reply with interest by COB Monday, 6/12, to join the conversation.
